Thank you for your reply. Since you've made the trip to the Grand Canyon, did you make the trip in your RV? If so, do you have any advice to share as to where you stayed, etc? This will be my first time there, so am looking for any advice on where to go (in an RV), etc. Thank you!
I made the trip in my RV and I stayed at an RV Park just outside the gate to the Grand Canyon National Park. The campground was so so, but if I was going again I would try to stay inside the park. I live in Tennessee and our total mileage on that trip was over 4000 miles. I cannot remember the name of any of the parks but the one at the canyon was the worst.
I live in NC and alot of our truck rental businesses rent Class C's. I believe they advertise on cruiseamerica.com. Hope this helps.
Cruise America is the most common RV Rental, at least the Germans sure like this company.
Can someone email me and tell me how i can read the replies that are send to me i can not find the page Thank you margiebecker99@hotmail.com
Thanks again for your reply. We live in North Carolina, and will be flying out West, then renting an RV while there. The Grand Canyon will be one place that we will visit, and intend on adding some other areas of interest to our agenda as well. Thanks again!
OK You must go around Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountain. Go to Gatlinburg and follow it all the way through toward townsend. Go straight instead of turning toward towsend. I think it is about 7 miles out to the beginning of the Circle. You can make it through in a couple of hours or you could stay all day. There are many many things to look at and much wildlife to see. If you go dawn or dusk you may potentially see 50-75 deer as well as other wildlife.
There is also a beautiful campground at Norris Lake. It is at the top of the mountain and is one of the best sites you can see. It is called Loyston Point(Point 19).
In Meigs county there is a campground called Hornsby Hollow that is awesome. No surrounding attractions but you won't need any.
Crossville has a campgound at the Cumberland Mountain State park. Beautiful place. Also has an olympic size swimming pool.
How advanced is the MS? Depending on your abilities there are many other places. If you can hike about 1 mile, go to Ozone Falls on Highway 70. Beautiful.
Let me know what area you are staying in and I will try to think of more.

Oh do you ride four wheelers? Windrock Mountain is great. Expensive but great.
not sure, if this site has been posted in here yet. We find it very helpful.

Just checked this website. I had never used in before but I can see it will be helpful in the future. Thanks for the info.
We plan on attending the 2008 Albuquerque Balloon Festival in October. Any suggestions for a campground nearby and any tips on attending the festival? We have a 37' fifth wheel.
