Comment by Ellis Grace on August 23, 2008 at 07:05 AM. I am a retired Army Vet. Living in NW Indiana. Doing the summer months we travel three to four weeks every year. We have camped in several Military Campgrounds to name a few Camp Carson (Ft Knox, KY) NAS (Pensacola, FL) Ft Bliss RV Park CEl Paso, TX) Keesler AFB (Biloxi, MS) Cape Henry (Virginia Beach, VA) and other. My wife will retire Dec. 31, 2008. we will camp at more FAM Camp around this Country.
I am retired Navy of 24 years, retiring in 1990.. My Wife Linda, and I live in Toronto, Ohio. We try to make a trip out west every year, for about 2 months, and then camp for about 2 or 3 more months. We take different routes on our way to North Central Texas where I grew up, and then on to Arizona, where Linda's Mom lives, near Jerome. We have stayed in a few of the Military Campgrounds, the price is right, and you cannot beat security. Ft Bliss TX, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, and most recently, at Andrews AFB, MD, for a week. Hope to be able to get out and head west to see places like Yellowstone, and other great Nat'l parks, in the near future.

Glad to find this site. I am retired Army VN Vet and ARNG. We just purchased another 5th wheel Palomino Puma last year and have used it on a short weekend stay at a park nearby, but plan to go to Hot Springs Ark. , San Antonio Tx, Phoenix Az. this spring and summer and to Spokane Wa for our grandson's wedding in October .
He is presently in an Infantry unit in Iraq, but returns in July. Got a lot on our plate for this year. I plan to use a RV campground at Ft Sam Houston in S.A. but would like to find posts near all the places we go to save money. Gas is high enough, so have to save on the spaces. Anyone have advise?

Sister. New Mexico to see a lot of friends, and a lake I used

In response to Bob & Margie - Check out Military Campgounds & RV Parks at militarycampground.us. It is free site and it lists all of the Fam Camps around the country. Have a fun and safe camping season.
