Going out this weekend leaving today 05/21/09 not coming home until late 05/25/09. We are headed to Schroon River NY to Adirondack Adventure Resorts www.adirondackadventureresorts.com. We start every year with a wine and herb tour in Finger Lake region of New York State. This year is no exception, we are going to the wine and herb festival for the 3 year running and will for many more years. Has anyone heard about campgrounds not allowing people to bring in their own fire wood? I have made several reservations for the summer and have been told by a couple of campgrounds I can't bring my own wood because they are worried about bugs in the wood hurting the trees in the campground. In the Adirondacks of northern New York this was the case last year but now it appears to be spreading to camp grounds as far west as Buffalo NY and as far east as Cape Code, MA.
