Anything else about yourself that you want to share?: I am retired from the military with a total of 31 years split between the US Air Force and the South Dakota Air National Guard. My wife and I will be doing some extended traveling starting this year. Looking forward to seeing more of this great country starting in April 2010.

WOW 60 deg and very windy (24 MPH & gusting to 37), sure glad that I am not towing my camper today.This should help dry tings out however. 17 days until I bring the camper home.

Well the camper came home today, but the forecast for the weekend is for up to 9 inches of snow and high winds. So I guess the preparations for camping will have to wait for now. God I love spring in South Dakota.

Sunday morning and we survived the blizzard. We have around 8 - 9 inches of snow, 28 deg and the wind is still blowing 24 + MPH so today will be a day of digging out and waiting for the warm weather so I can start getting the camper ready. Really it is early April but I am just anxious to get started camping.

Memorial Day weekend

We are going out on Friday, the 22nd and returning on Monday, the 25th. We are going to a private campground about 50 miles from home. This has become our traditional place to spend Memorial Day weekend. The campground, Camp America, is run by two women who do an outstanding job with a clean and quiet campground.
