Welcome to RV Bug, and I know you will enjoy RVing.  With you just getting started and would like to know about any clubs.  There are numerous clubs out there that are good.  Good Sams with the additonal roadside service plan is good. I think it is around $100.00 per year. Also if either one of you is 62 or older, you need to get the Golden Age Passport so that you can reserve U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Campgrounds for half price.  It costs a one time fee of $10.00.  Also you might want to check into Joining Campclubusa.com.  It's around $35.00 per year and gives huge discounts for a day or two in numerous parks around the country.  If you would like to work a little to supplement your travels, you can go to workamper.com and join as a workamperplus member. Around $40.00 pe year, and gives daily and weekly updates on parks needing help.  Especially couples, where one does maintenance for a few hours a week and the other works in the office or store or cleans cabins, to pay for the campsite. Averages around twenty five hours a week total for both.  And that way you can pretty much pick where you want to spend the hot Texas Summers lol.  I work at Amazon.com in Kentucky during the holidays, usually from about Oct. 1st till December 23rd.  They pay for your site and utilities plus both of you get paid a little over 10.00 per hour and plenty of overtime if you want it.  It's a good place to work and build up a travelling nestegg.
