RVingPlanet Fulltime RVers doing seasonal entertainment jobs

There is a new post out there on RetirementRVs.com about RVer's doing seasonal work for entertainment venues. I wonder how popular it is for full-time RVers to do seasonal work for places like Branson venues, SeaWorld, Disney World, etc. Do you make good money doing working these types of jobs? Are they fun jobs to have? What do you think?

The RVBUG.com Free Campsites, find them!

Do you know about Wal-Mart camping? WalMart not only authorized RVs and vans to park overnight, but encourages it. We were heading back to Michigan in our conversion wagon, and free camping sounded good to us. We parked, plugged in our 5-inch T.V, and settled in for the night. Nobody bothered us. You are limited to a stay of 2 weeks in one place, though this rule isn't always implemented, and the next two-week place may have to be only 100 yards away. Some stay for a week at a time, going out al… Continue

The RVBUG.com RVing for Begginers

As RVing lifers, we recommend you begin with a second hand RV unless you are one-hundred percent sure of what you need and get a smoking deal. New RVs depreciate as much as 30 p.c when driven off the lot. A second user RV gives you the opportunity to test out the way of living and also permits you to see what you want and what you don't desire in an RV before investing a lot of money in the RVing lifestyle. The RVBUG.com What about my mail?

One of the questions we are always asked when people find out we are RVers is: how do you get your mail? Some RVers employ a chum or relative. Escapees, Family Motor coaching association (FMCA), and Good Sam Club RV clubs all have mail forwarding services. There are some mail forwarding corporations that specialize in RVers. Many RVers select as their domicile a state that has no state income taxes and so mail forwarding services spring up to meet the demand. Some RVers get their mail only once… Continue

David & Virginia Erlandson Big Rig

You will note in my pictures, we are parked in a park that has Mobile Homes, I find these parks are more willing to handle our big rig, and keep the monthly rate in a reasonable amount. RV parks that have large pull throughs, all want a ridiculous rate for their pull throughs. I have been tring to locate a park in northern Minnesota for the summer, but we will just wait til we get there, and find a mobile home park. Its better for us anyway, the washer /dryer are 220 volt, also replacing the gas… Continue

Ron Selfridge Favorite Campgrounds & Resorts

I like to hear about new places to take my family Rving! So I thought you might like to know about this brand new resort near Castle Rock Washington! We were going to Mt St Helens area in Washington State. We usually stay at the state park on Spirit Lake Highway but it was summer and to our dismay the park has no vacancies. Seems like this is becoming a real problem for us spur of the moment campers! But we lucked out and found Toutle River RV Resort to be newly opened and had vacancies. The RV… Continue

D. Class B Converted Van for Artist's RV

I am in the market to purchase an RV so I have something to live in while I travel to fairs to vend my artwork. I am concluding that it will be easier and more economical to start small. Saw my dream configuration last night with Sportsmobile Ford EB. Can't have anything as elaborate as that right off. But a converted van w/galley kitchen, bathroom, and bed is what I'm after. If anyone is using a converted van, I sure woul… Continue

Gerry & Pam Towing Honda Pilot

We have a 07 Honda Pilot. Manufacturer says "no towing", not even on a dolly.Others tell me its being done safely, yet I've never seen one being tow'd or know of anyone who's done it. Anyone out there know someone who is catually doing it? Love to connect with them and find out what the truth is. I'd hate to have to purchase or trade mine in for the sake of towing (or not to)! Thanks Continue

Sheri C. Wong My writing services while traveling on a RV

My dad and I are partners in crime. When my mother left us, it is the two of us who went on with our lives and travel a lot in his white and beautiful RV. His RV has been our home for 3 years now and traveling has been our main routine. More on the west coast because my dad believes that west cost has the best places. At first it is very difficult for me to adjust because grandma's house is more comfortable than my dad's RV. But as we go on, I enjoyed every stop and food in particular. As we tra… Continue

Audrey Greenwell Our Little Escapade to Kansas City For a Visit....not!

After spending several years in a little house with no RV, we decided that what we really wanted to do was to get another RV and enjoy the rest of our lives traveling around, especially in the winter months, until we were unable to go any more! This entire discussion began when we started landscaping our yard after living here almost five years. We drug rocks around for two months, dug flower beds until we were sore and exhausted and planted azaleas, Knock-OuT Double Roses and boxes and flats o… Continue
