Ok well today marks 2 wks into the trip, I'm sat out side the coach in brilliant morning sunshine, though a little chillier than Florida at this time of day, Rose has gone into the little town near by to do some business by phone as there is no signal here, we are both suffering from this altitude thing, and I've been under the influence of a head cold for the last few days however this as of last night seems to be leaving me but maybe transfering to Rose....I guess after living in what must be only 100 ft or so above sea level in Florida for so long and then being at over 8,000 feet has totally confused our bodies...even the trip out here a very focused 2,000 mile road trip hauling 60 ft of our home for the next 3 months was arduous to say the least....of course to get to the camp site and immediatly head over the Rocky mountains at 14,000 ft is maybe not the thing to do...oh well we are fine and although still panting even after small tasks are enjoying every secound....the trip last Thursday to get here from Pike's Peak was something everyone should try...if it was not enough to take the 4x4 up the sides of Pike then taking this 60 ft of home up the zig zag u bends of the Rockys was what I can only say as "fun", the only thing we over took was a bicyclist, the switch back bends were not really designed for this coach and truck, It's like with a 2,000 ft drop on one side of the road and a 2,000 ft raise on the other side topped with an overhanging scary ledge of snow, thats just waiting for an impatient driver to blow his horn at us for being so slow, that would surely bring it down and bury us alive....Such fun...

The day after we got here as already said we decided to go to what is called Estes Park, now for those who don't know, Estes Park is a shopping town built for the tourist....from where we are staying it's about 50 miles, ACROSS THE ROCKY'S, the trip started fine, after filling the 4x4 with everything but the kitchen sink... as we did not know what to expect....I guess I need to ask you to view the pics as the views the wildlife was just totally awesome, there and back...Elk, Moose, dear and marmot, just to start with, herds of them...but still so much fun to hunt them down and creep up for real close shots...Estes was a great place to walk around looking and buying stuff to take back home....the trip took a whole long day litrally because the views were not there to pass with out a stop and look see.
The last 2 days we have hung around the coach only on one occasion going into the Rocky's to drive a 4x4 trail that was actually closed still from the winter when we got there...there is however something we are wanting to do before we leave here Saturday....right in the middle of the Rocky's there is a Lake called Bear lake...it's small and to get there we will need to cross the Rocky's yet again, drive a trail only a 4x4 can, and then maybe even hike to get there...but to put the Kayak in that lake would be worth everything....
