Enjoying a spring day drifting down the White River...

Spring seems to have arrived a few days early so Terry & I have been soaking it in all week. Terry took a little while to put the boat in the river yesterday and we motored upstream about four miles, then drifted back. The trout were biting - not as fast as some days, but steadily. We kept enough for dinner and served them up to my mom and daughter this evening at the campground pavilion. But back to the river...MY special treat was to spot a bald eagle sitting in its nest. They have nested there for the past several years, but are difficult to see once the trees leaf out. Since the trees have not leaved, it's easy to spot. Close to the river and just yards, really, upstream from Blue Heron Campground. The blue herons, incidentally, are busily carrying in material to repair last years nests. I love spring.
