Do you know about Wal-Mart camping? WalMart not only authorized RVs and vans to park overnight, but encourages it. We were heading back to Michigan in our conversion wagon, and free camping sounded good to us. We parked, plugged in our 5-inch T.V, and settled in for the night. Nobody bothered us. You are limited to a stay of 2 weeks in one place, though this rule isn't always implemented, and the next two-week place may have to be only 100 yards away. Some stay for a week at a time, going out all day to see the sights ( and so they do not wear out their welcome ). Go to the Wal-Mart website and scroll down to the 'store finder' link to search. You might have fun doing it.
