I just read Ron S.'s blog post about the great Washington RV Vacation destination that he found. It made me think about the news report that I saw yesterday in the RV Daily Report that talked about RV parks being unable to get financing. It basically stated that even though RV parks have weathered this recession better than most businesses and even though the large banks received bailout money, these banks are still not willing to lend money to RV parks to expand. Seems silly doesn't it? When the economy takes a turn for the worse, many campers find RV sales and camp more, not less. Some even lose their jobs and start living in a RV fulltime. I sure hope that the banks loosen up their pocket books just a little bit, so that our favorite RV parks can renovate and add on, to make our RVing experience even greater.

Last Labor Day the RV Park that we go to was telling us that they, as a small business, did not qualify for a loan. However the bank was lending money to people for various other uses but not for small business'. I think that this is a travesty that needs to be corrected. Small business makes this country run.
